Our Education for Youth in Haiti Campaign:
CDi Miles of Trees Campaign 2013
This past March 7th through the 13th, our collaborative partner CDi (Community Development International) came to visit us in Haiti for an action packed trip, including a fun-filled Saturday Tree Planting outing with the JDS Youth program, planting over 1,000 fruit tree seedlings along the hillsides of Cyvadier preventing erosion and reforesting Haiti, which only has 1% of its original forest cover left!
CDi also brought their farming techniques and helped plant a community garden in KONPAY's Alternative fuel and food center & an herb garden, funds also were contributed to provide gardening tools and program material for the JDS Saturday Youth Program. Thank you CDi!!!
